Reminds me of one day when I was doing volunteer maintenance at a park that was owned by a charitable organization. It was a privately owned park in the city that was freely open to the public – NOT a government owned park.
I guy came up to me and demanded that I give him $10 for being in the park. Claimed that he represented the City. I told him that the City doesn’t own this park.
So he changed his story to being a representative of the owners of the park. I told him that I was a board member of the organization that owned the park, and I had never seen him at any of our meetings. He claimed they hired him to collect fees. Of course he could not name who “hired” him – he didn’t even know the name of the charitable organization. But that only made him get louder and threatening.
Officers of the bike patrol happened by… we’ve known each other for years. They took him down to their office to “discuss things”…
