So . . . there might be a universe where Clyde is a billionaire and Barney is a hobo.

So there must be one where everything is happening exactly the same as this one, but 5 minutes later…

With a truly infinite number of monkeys, one would produce the complete works of William Shakespeare the first time out.

Another would produce the same text, except Hamlet is named “Phil” throughout.

Plus perhaps Coriolanus and Taming Of The Shrew (remember, at the time ol’ Billy was cranking out mass entertainment; it didn’t become Great Literature until later. Not everything he wrote was good, let alone great.

One of those monkeys (or a descendant of theirs) WAS Shakespeare.

Everything is possible when you assume infinity. So what?

I reject the theory. A tessellation could go on infinitely, but it wouldn’t contain everything.

True, because it already happened. A few million monkeys lived in Africa, and after a few million years they evolved into humans and spread over the Earth. Eventually, one of them was named William Shakespeare and he wrote a bunch of plays and sonnets. Later, the monkeys that had evolved into humans created the typewriter.
