This proves two things: 1)People try to get across the border in this way because the border is not “wide open” 2) A wall or new EOs or legislation will never stop all who are trying to improve their life circumstances.
Two ways to help: 1)Work with their home countries to improve conditions so the flow is limited. 2)Create realistic ways for people to move back & forth across the border to fill jobs in the US that lack workers.
It’s unlikely as politicians prefer these people as pawns in their political posturing.
GOP runs on culture, specifically the hate they can generate with divisive culture issues. Democrats run on policies. Policies win in the long run, culture in the short. So, Democrats need to learn how to hate, right? Solves everything?
