it’s been hot and humid the past week, first day of summer cool and rainy to start then a high of around 70

We’ve been under a heat wave for the past week.

Actually, June 21 had been called Mid Summer’s Day. The night of June 20, the shortest night of the year, had been called Mid Summer’s Eve.
