The barking relay with other dogs in the neighborhood is a close second, I’m sure.

As a city carrier (USPS) I had a dog that would meet me every morning and would walk with me until about noon and then go home. I think they chained him up so he wouldn’t get hit by a car. I had another stop that the owner opened the garage door as I was approaching his house and let a vicious dog loose…me and my mail bag between us…guess he didn’t want his mail that day! His house was shut off for awhile

Give it a rest, Odie. We all know you prefer chasing parked cars!

For the mailman it’s the 100 metre hurdles.

I remember the days when Garfield used to torment the mailman. Garfield would be great at that 100 meter mailman chase.

I wonder who’d win that between Garfield and Odie these days?

Garfield and Odie should team up together to harass the mailman.

Hard to catch them in those little trucks. I’ve had roadside delivery since the early ’80s, seven different houses in four States.

If my Ellie ever got out of the backyard, she’d run down the little jeeps the mail carriers use to drop off the mail. Fortunately for them, Ellie can only bark her pretty little head off.

Not yet an Olympic event. If it were, I’m certain Odie would contend in 2028.

He seems highly invested in it, judging by his loud barks. Sounds like me when I watch football.

I would love to see a dog try to chase a 100-meter-tall mailman. :)
