Shrinkflation. A real and really annoying thing. It’s been around since the early 50s at least: I remember when the “dime size” candy bars got smaller.

‘Skimpy Peanut Butter’- this is worthy of the “Wacky Packages” of the early seventies!

They include the words, “By weight, not by volume”, but mislead you by using a larger jar or cereal box. Cheaters!!

Did the original 1967 and 1973 Wacky Packages first series include a spoof of Skippy Peanut Butter calling it “Skimpy Crunchy Beanut Putter”?

It is closely rivaled by Jipped Peanut Butter.

Shrinkflation is getting more and more aggravating.

Bidenomics

A pound of coffee is now 11.5 ounces. A dime candy bar is two bucks. (That reminds me of the price of Deer Nuts…just under a buck. hahaha)

And the price went up as well.. a bargain for sure.

If that is the case, then the jar should only be one quarter full of peanut butter. Clearly it is not.

Shrinkflation they have pills for that.

What about the “half-gallon” ice cream cartons? It’s a gyp!!

Whether you consider it half-full or half-empty, it still sucks.

But it only costs peanuts!

When the peanut butter jar was empty I’d hand it to my dog for cleaning. Kept her busy for hours.

Market concentration is a wonderful thing. It is a significant component of inflation.

MAGAts believe there is no such thing.

They really ought to make peanut butter jars closer to tuna can size. The tall jars make getting the last bits out without getting messy very difficult.

It’s an insidious corporate thing. Put 120 pills in a bottle that holds exactly twice as much. I don’t understand how this makes marketing a product more desirable. You’re using twice as much material to make the containers.

I see photos from when I was a kid, and obesity was pretty rare, compared to today.

She couldn’t tell that there wasn’t much in it when she bought it?
