Will Rose’s parents be upset that she’s down lying on a dock with a boy in his boxers?

Well, at least Rose had 10 minutes of a normal childhood…..

Rose slipped her leash, next time, it’ll be a fenceless dog fence.

Seagull can’t be bothered.

“Because of all the sirens at your house?”

That reminds me of last year’s arc about Wallace throwing his shoes into the bay after Mom had told him not to. A reader commented, “It’s not wise to PO a former mermaid, Wallace.” I commented, “Or you’ll hear an emergency siren.”

So glad I finished my tea before I read that last line!

Yikes, Rose.

Interesting, the story arc is about Rose, not Wallace. Very nice.

Imagine that!!!!……..worried parents!

And the search helicopters.

Helicopters. and helicopter parents! A bit too much.

You know, I betcha the police (or whatever authorities they called in) have had to deal with Rose’s folks before now, and it wouldn’t surprise me if their presence there is still mostly just to humor said folks more than anything.

If my parents had tried to “sign me up for a bunch of stuff,” I’d have snuck out too.

While I sympathize with Rose being scheduled up the wazoo is no fun. I know brainy kids left to their own devices sometimes don’t always make choices that are popular with adults.

I wondered when Rose would be found out and what would happen…

I love how in every panel Seagull is sound asleep.

Seagull is unperturbed.

This was observed a few days ago, but it happened again: unusual perspective in Panel 2.

I like the artistic touch, with the fish skeleton… But I would NOT be lying on that dock, at least not that close to dead fish stink.
