Dad needed to recommend such books to parents. So he brought them home to try them out on us, in order to know which ones kids liked more. I didn’t like any of them. My sisters were a better target audience.

Heart’s lucky to have a Mom like that who’s willing to talk to here about such very important and private things.

With indifference and impatience NM handed me a book. My thoughts were, If she doesn’t care neither do I.. I should have cared more. Zero nurturing

Wow, a parent who’s discussed this at an appropriate age for their child! How rare, and even rarer for parents of boys, it seems.

Heart will not want to admit she was so “high & mighty” in the future, when she finds out what life is REALLY about…
