Soooooo… is that to say that everything that has been happening MIGHT be Topsider revenge in some form??

It’s the old “you’re not the same as me so you should die”. Plus ça change.

That explosion happened before Wally entered Endtown for the first time, but it’s probably common knowledge among those who live there. The decoy happened after the Topsider Personal Transport (P.T.) was christened “Petey” by Al and Gustine(6/25/2009) ; but before Petey’s brain was put into Mallard’s remote droid and became “Petey the Flying cyborg”(12/16/2010). Petey the cyborg was already with Flask when she drafted Wally for the Satellite Rocket Mission(8/31/2011). I don’t like to give too much detail (even after years have passed) because it was so much fun to see those events unfold for the first time.

Wally et al “appeared” in Eden with no idea or any memory how they’d arrived. Who snatched up all those “chosen ones”? When, where & how? We have an inkling about why. Were the Eden Project overseers so compartmentalized that the rest of Topsider government/military were unaware of the project?

So many questions, so much angst.

stares at the huge, unending desert of ash and dirt You know, once you hit a certain ceiling of unending devastation, calls for an even more-excessive violence just seems unnecessary and a bit counterproductive.

Doesn’t Terrence’s gun pose a danger here? If the gun is hearing this, it could send this info about Endtown to the Topsiders.

I really miss Flask (Blackie), wish he hadn’t wrote her out.

For a little bird, he’s sure big on drama.

If they go to Endtown, they have to keep it a secret somehow, or they’ll lead the Topsiders there. Wally might be able to control the feral dittos to cloak them. The Marxes seem to want them where they are for some reason, though.

Curiouser & Curiouser

Well that’s great news!! Now about the 200 mile crossing with no supplies, women, children, old coots, grumpy cats……and Topsiders there know of Endtown or a source place where mutants keep showing up….that’s why they put a satellite up. They just can’t locate it as it’s hidden a mile below the surface. And Terrence….No….they will not treat you kindly now that you’ve changed….just ask Linda.

Topsiders can really hold a grudge with both hands.

Whistle up some dittoes, Wally. Of course, there is the possibility of something else showing up, too. So maybe not.

Time for Marx to show up.

Remember Endtown?

There was a comic strip called Endtown.

With apologies to Arlo Guthrie.

As if they haven’t had a bit of pain and suffering already!

I can absolutely forecast what will happen next. Something.

Interesting 4th panel

It seems unlikely Wally would have mentioned Endtown. None of the Topsiders in the Eden Project knew about Wally being from Endtown. Neither Kirbee nor Chic (nor Irving) were from Endtown. Kirbee is the most likely to have blabbed, and she would have said they just came from Unity which had been destroyed by a combination of an evil “haint” and the topsiders…

And the Eden Project folks would have been intensely interested in Wally if he had mentioned Marx. From the discussions with Amesworth, it appeared she did not know that. Their only interest seems to have been that he was a prime character in the comic. And Ravenscroft blew his opportunity to learn more about Wally.

I do wonder if the Eden Project’s trouble with the Eye began before or after Wally’s arrival in Eden. After seems most likely.

@Vet – I just noticed you lumped “women” in with all the baggage they’d have to carry. I think I just took offence!

Why can’t CrackedWally remember that part? He remembered most of everything else.

Anguish and suffering? Given the last we saw of Endtown pulled pork had become popular, the Topsiders may be in for a challenge to meet unimaginable…

I’m not sure that they are seeing eye to eye, despite the fourth panel.

I’, a good follower of this comic. I think she was. But don’t quote me on that just yet.
