Facts of Life 101

This makes me think of Ralph Nader’s book “Unsafe at Any Speed”

… and Mike Rowe’s idea/‘philosophy’ of “Safety Third”.

Not sure I’m seeing the F- here, lol.

Is there enough room beneath the roof to wear a helmet?

5 point harness. Everyone goes in the same direction. Much safer.

I think it’s more accurate that everyone strikes a balance “between safe and measuring up to some shifting, wobbly, judgemental standard of ‘looking cool’”.

Wore mine once when my wife was driving, she wasn’t amused.

Is that how that works OR are we looking at at the new normal?

I only wear my helmet on the drag strip.

The helmet, restraint cord, and neck brace are cumbersome. The fire proof racing suit is a major pain with this summer heat.
