Your pension plan is only worth something if the company doesn’t go out of business.

Do non-government pension plans still exist?

“If we fire you a month before you retire, no pension.”

Why? You don’t have to sign anything to get it. In 15 years, I start making an extra $16 a month! I hope that’s enough to go to McDonald’s once a month! (I don’t live in California)

Take heed: Earl knows what consequences may result.

As a Teamster retiree, I’m doing okay in my retirement. I worked for solid companies that always paid into the fund. Stockholders made their profits off my hard labor, nevertheless I recognize I’m one of the lucky.

Trust in God … but row to shore.

With my pension and SS, I have a comfortable life, and that’s good.

They also did a thing where they took 3% of every paycheck and put it into a mutual fund. Great idea.

No company I ever worked for had a pension plan. My wife’s in a union and does have one, but 12 more years…

A good reason why we should all be in charge of our own retirement.

Before 401k plans, there was profit sharing. But the company’s I worked for never made any profits. What a joke
