Typewriter is lucky it’s not being used to write a trash-y romance novel.

There’s one saving grace for all of your novels; just include a character called Franky in all of them, and at the end, include this line “Franky, I don’t give a dang.”

I can relate, Snoopy. I can count the number of people who read my stories on one hand and have fingers left over.

I could visualize Snoopy today sitting on his doghouse using a laptop instead of a typewriter.

“This is madness”, she cried. He said, “Madness? No. THIS… IS… SPARTA!!!” and kicks her down a well.

The thing about typewriters is that you can’t delete anything you type and it doesn’t have spell check.

Like the invisible man removing a typed paper from the typewriter. Or maybe it could have been like the Stephen J. Cannell end credits.

Today he’d open his phone and dictate the text into it. Oh wait, I read about such a device in one of Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Series novels. They were written in the 1950s.

From the Star Trek episode “Assignment Earth”:

Gary Seven (As Roberta Lincoln begins to type): “Not with your fingers.”

Roberta: “Well, how am I supposed to type? With my nose?”

Typewriter: “Well, how am I supposed to type? With my nose?”

Roberta: “Did you see that? It’s typing everything that I…”

Typewriter: “Did you see that? It’s typing everything that I…”

Roberta: “It’s typing everything I’m saying!”

Typewriter: “It’s typing everything I’m saying!”

Roberta (slapping the side of the typewriter): “Stop it…stop it! STOP IT!”

Typewriter: “Stop it…stop it! STOP IT!”

Roberta: “Ok, that’s it; I quit!”

    Gary Seven: “Wait a minute…wh…"

    Roberta: “I’m quitting right now!”

Gary Seven: “You’re not acting, are you?”

    Roberta: “Acting?? I’m LEAVING!

‘It was a dark and stormy relationship.’ Not enough correction fluid to hide the mistakes of life. And that carbon copy always seems to haunt you.

Reminds me of the scene in Naked Lunch where the typewriter talks back to Peter Weller. One of the strangest movies I have ever seen
