When I sent an email with a lot of questions, I would sometimes end it with “What is the meaning of life?!” Another thing I got from Peanuts.

Where’s Snoopy? And why did Charlie Brown’s parents allow him to go out so late at night? And, while we’re at it, why didn’t Peppermint Patty’s dad arrange for someone to watch her while he was out of town? And lastly, why hasn’t anyone notified Children’s Services? Inquiring minds want to know.

Betcha Snoopy is sound asleep in Charlie Brown’s bed. Snoopy’s no fool.

He knows this is as stupid. Patty is stupid for doing this to him, this proves that they use him mostly to humiliate him.

Don’t you just hate it when a watchdog or a dog in the neighborhood seems to want to howl all night long?

If I heard someone shouting outside while I was sleeping, I’d be angry, too.

Meanwhile, Snoopy is enjoy a round of pool with a bottle of root beer while Sally is moving her stuff into Charlie Brown’s room!

Just go home, Charlie Brown. You don’t have to put up with this nonsense.

This would be good material for an Everly Brother’s song.

The purpose of life is to glorify God, as does ALL creation.

I remember the cartoon. Snoopy runs off with a poodle and Spike ends up taking her.

It could be worse – he could be howling at the moon.

At last, Charlie is questioning his decision to fill in for his dog, at the insistence of a mad girl. He should’ve developed a backbone and stayed in bed. Let Patty find Snoopy and put him back to work. But, our Charlie has a real problem with simply saying NO.

You aren’t Patty’s watchdog, you’re her doormat,Charlie Brown.

Patty, you have only yourself to blame.

And a thunderous voice says, “Go back to sleep”

I’d go home at this point.

The strips are said to reflect something going on in Charles Schultz life, I wonder what Sparky was going through at the time this was written?

What happened to the real watchdog, indeed. How cruel of Sparky to leave his audience hanging on that one for so long. I hardly ever look up how one of these rerun story arcs ends, but this one I had to.

Ask the Pythons; they did a whole film about it.

No doubt the neighbors heard that.

I feel like Chuck. I am not the WATCH DOG either, but I’m sounding the ALARM as well!
