When I first settled in in my present town, young and ambitious, I was broke and shopped at garage sales and thrift stores for sundries. Somehow, now that I’m still here and retired, I’m about ready to go full circle.

I’m usually a pushover but I will not be spoken to or reduce my prices for some one peaking to me that way.

Garage sale: A place where you take an item you bought for $500 that’s now worth $50, then list it for $5, and a customer offers you $0.50 for it.
