Someone must have flagged Lucky Black Cat’s “highly offensive” comment saying “Sweet”; because it is no longer here. Come on people!! Show some restraint with the flagging!
Lynn’s Comments: Because it was such a dramatic story, I felt I had to mention Farley’s death again. Some readers thought it was a dumb idea to insert Farley’s face into the branches of the tree here, but others really appreciated the gesture. No matter what I wrote or drew, there was always a difference of opinion!
Long retired. Have read MANY cartoons in my life. MANY of them have been very good.In my opinion, Lynn Johnston is the best of them all. Her work is well thought out and very well presented.

In the last panel, Mike’s eyes and Rhetta’s eyes are wild open in fear. They know there is a ghost behind them. Run, Michael and Rhetta! Run!

I remember a special place where two teenagers swore to always remember. 54 Years, I wonder if she remembers?

The image in the tree was their dog that gave its life saving his little sister.

Really, only 1 person commented on seeing Farleys face in the tree?Like the old art picture, is it a vase or an old lady’s face.
