Matches are fine, but they have to burn for a moment to clear the sulfur, same with a pipe. My cop buddy smokes one end off and chews up the other, fun to watch

Technically you are not supposed to actually touch the flame to the cigar. Good luck with that.
Maybe they should stick to cigarettes.
