    You go and buy a couple of different size wax rings (because heck if you know what size you need), shot off the water to the toilet, drain and wipe it dry, unscrew it from the floor, tip toilet over and snake if from the bottom bushing the superheroes out. Yes, this is experience talking

    My late husband, who had Alzheimer’s, flushed a cat toy down the toilet. The toilet backed up, sent water into the living room, over the wood floor, and water seeped down through the floor into the basement where it shut off the furnace. I rushed around putting down towels and mopping up what I could before there was too much more damage, and he stood in the middle of the huge puddle wondering what the fuss was about. It took three pricey repairmen to put things right, and two full washer-loads of towels to mop up all the water.
