I live in a town in the north-west of Italy with a lot of trees and green. When I worked, waiting for my colleague before dawn, in spring and summer, a multitude of birds sang continuously from two trees in front of me.
The most beautiful concerts I’ve ever listened to: different every day, in stereo, and above all free.
Neil Young and Crazy Horse recently played at our local amphitheater. Top price ticket? $900! Lawn seats were $75. As much as I love Neil, I took a hard pass.
Back in the 1940’s-50’s and early 60’s as farmers we often saw spectacular sunrises and sunsets here in N.C. and Aurora Borealis visible every clear night. Then pollution struck and GOP. Need I say more?
Here in Central Illinois there is a lot of very good live music that is free or very inexpensive—Friendly Valley, Kenny’s, DESTIHL Brewery, Peoria Public Library…
A local news in Los Angeles had a long video about LA banning illegal fireworks and their news chopper was up in the sky 2 hours before midnight and you can see all the huge explosions that were obviously illegal fireworks going off.
I saw Joe Cocker and Jethro Tull in concerts in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Standing next to the stage for Joe Cocker. Also some local ones (mostly in Louisiana). All were good. The prices for JC and JT were not large enough for me to remember.

Mother nature’s shows can be every bit as entertaining and they’re free! Not sure about that fence though

Enjoying the beautiful day, pick your own music, no crowd or parking problems, saved a bunch of money, easy access to the restroom, yep good plan.

When I lived in LA I went to the Hollywood Bowl frequently. However, now the cheaper seats cost around $90. Too rich for this retiree’s budget!

Better than being in the upper deck in a baseball stadium.

I just realized I don’t think I have ever seen Gladys go to the diner. I think that could be very funny. I could have missed it, if it happened.
