The motorcycle chariot racing picture in the comic is misleading. There is no rider on the motorcycles. Just like the original chariot racing with horses where there was no rider on the horses.

A more recent motorcycle chariot race.

Things must be going great in Germany if all they have to worry about is kebabs. Sheesh! Kebabs?!?

The kebab photo is wrong. In Germany kebab refers to very popular fast food kebab sold in small shops that seem to be everywhere. They don’t usually sell the shish kebab. rather it is more of Turkish variety sandwich using pita or a wrap using chicken or beef that is similar to a gyro, which I think is more common in the US. The German Left Party proposed this because of rising prices and the popularity of the food.

I wonder if Tommy Tucker was the inspiration for the intro to the movie “Dinner for Schmucks”

It would seem that if reinstated chariot racing were accurate, there would be no rider on the motorcycle.

But did little Tommy Tucker sing for his supper? And was it white bread and butter?
