It hasn’t made him a better golfer.

I had always thought I would get into golf in my senior years. Now that I am older (what I call my ‘grabber’ years) I find it difficult to do what Brutus is doing in panel 3.

My advice to you Brutus is, “Take 2 weeks off then quit”.

I’ve played golf a handful of times in my life. But if you add up my scores and divide by par then I’ve played dozens of times.

I was playing once with a guy whose shot went straight up and over onto the adjacent fairway. It went really high and came down like a missile and landed dead center of a golf cart. The two guys in it dove out each side and rolled on the ground. We had a good laugh that day.

In the old days of hickory-shafted golf clubs, the brassie (driver) was the hardest club in the bag to hit. Today, the highly engineered drivers are the easiest club to hit.

What was the between shots banter like – can Rancid be civil? Is this how Brutus wants to celebrate his birthday? Mind blown!
