I caddied at a country club when a young kid and they had a “Stag Day” one Saturday at the club. No golf carts allowed, only caddies. We had four young college men (sons of older members) in our group and they hired five caddies. The fifth one’s job was to make sure they had sufficient beer at all times. By the time the 14th hole rolled around they were too drunk to finish so us caddies finished for them. By the end of the 18th hole the “beer” caddie worked the hardest and was the most tire – however, he also got the biggest tip, and a wel deserved tip it was.

I love the way Bill shows the foreground character with his arms apparently swinging in the first frame, then reveals the two bags in the last.

Always good to promote alcoholism. He’ll find out it doesn’t make for a good golf game

I used to drink a bit during my rounds. Called it “swing oil.” But no more. I’d rather play well.
