I read an article in the paper the other day about a tremendous increase of burn cases in Las Vegas and Phoenix. One thing it pointed out was that when the temp in Las Vegas is 115 F the pavement is 160 F and people who have fallen on the pavement are getting burns through their clothes. The other thing it pointed out was when the temp gets to 95 F fans are not effective for cooling.

Why is the robot sweating? He does not have any sweat glands. Usually a small, internal fan kicks in when the circuit boards get hot.

In my bedroom, I have two box fans, one on each side of the bed, connected to smart plugs, then I have my ceiling fan, and when it REALLY gets hot, the air conditioner to the right of the bed, aimed at me.

He should have gone to one of the club stores like Costco. Sometimes in the summer they have those industrial fans that are 3-4 ft in diameter. I’m always tempted to get one, just to try it out, but I know it would just be a weapon of mass destruction in my house…

Having been without power for a week after Hurricane Beryl I can relate somewhat to the heat but fans still wouldn’t work and generators were sold out.

Time to make bank if you’re an a/c company. Save up for the cold winter and reap the benefits of all your hard work.
