Though your paycheck may very well be a joke, your boss will not find it funny when you use it in your presentation.

I had to do monthly Safety presentations for my shop department. There are a lot of safety related cartoons on the Internet that featured humorous but useful tips, and I interspersed them tastefully among the serious topics to make meetings less boring. The talks allowed me to be creative as well as informative.

Meetings related to Production, however, were very stressful. VPs of office departments attended, and often their unrealistic shipping schedules caused us headaches. They gave slick excuses for problems in work flow of their own making, and blamed shop departments unfairly. I got flop sweat at those meetings. It was like being in a ‘Dilbert’ cartoon.

Great way to earn yourself a pink slip Aunty.

been with my job for 18 years & i am told that i am at the top of the pay…while everyone else at least gets 26 cent raises for the cost of living….
