We’re gonna rock around the world tonight…

We’re gonna rock, rock, rock, ’til broad daylight.

That much excitement could mean that rock is Uluru (also known as Ayers Rock) in Australia.

Find a rock with a subtle beauty. Speak to it, telling all your troubles, your burdens. The stone will listen as long as you care to speak. If you become silent, it will wait until you are ready to continue the conversation. There is patience in the earth, dignity in stone.

So, how did rock get all the way over there?

He didn’t, I’m guessing they must be back home.

It’s fun to travel, but always good to be back home to your familiar space.

Did Mary Poppins get that kind of mileage?

Months after I had moved out—mostly, from the parents house, the Mom went to clean out the attic. On our next phone call, she skeptically asked, “Do you know that you have an entire suitcase of rocks in the attic?”

And there was a silent pause when I frantically asked, “You didn’t throw them out, did you?”

And yup, they came back with me from the very next visit.
