I can see how someone who’s never heard the words turquoise and tortoise pronounced would suppose that they must sound somewhat similar. They don’t really sound similar, though. I wonder how we’re supposed to imagine them sounding here?
Not everyone is at a uni level of art history nor does everyone care what the actual names of the colours are and thirdly, and this is really important, now is not the time to be pedantic!
