Reminds me of Northern Michigan. There was one small town that would hold a contest each year. They would drive a car onto the ice. Usually an inexpensive or older car, but perfectly usable. Then they would sell tickets for people to guess what day the car would fall through the ice. Whoever guessed the date, or came closest, won…. the car!
