I remember seeing some of these Jello concoctions at parties and family gatherings. Never felt the need to eat any. Many looked as if the contents had been eaten already and just recycled.
After the jello salad, she serves him the entrée: “Larks’ Tongues in Aspic”, a favorite of us old King Crimson fans. (Aspic is a jelly made from meat broth.)

Gelatin has no food value. It’s made from horns and hooves. But shredded wheat is not ground up horse tails. My big brother lied….

Back in the ’60’s, Jell-O actually came out with vegetable-flavored gelatins for salads. Not surprising that it didn’t last!
