Glad that Sergio let Gracie make that mistake on her own- it will stick better than if he had tried to dissuade her from the beginning.

I just learned last week that tonto meant stupid people. Did the Lone Ranger know that?

I’ve been kinda critical of Gracie in the past, but I’ve come to see that she really is a true smartypants.

When you look at all of the cheap plastic junk advertised you know she’s not wrong. She just needs to find the right strategy.

“Tontos” means dopes? This just ruined The Lone Ranger for me. I liked Jay Silverheels, why would he disrespect his companion like that.

Close. They assume we are idiots, but they also don’t give us a choice. A small fraction of wealth control the choices left to the rest of us, so no matter what you pick, your money funnels up to them. And if they decide that a box of cereal is now $9 when it used to be $0.99, you’ll just have to pay it.

The Final Jeopardy question from a few days ago was:

This name of a National Forest means “fool” & may be one Apache group’s name for another group; it’s also a problematic TV character

I knew right away because I’d heard the bit about “tonto” meaning “idiot” or something like that.
