A misconception there; it is a known fact that marriage counselors exist to give the wife back-up, regardless of facts.

In my humble opinion, most counselors are not worth the effort, time, or money. However, they do provide a shoulder to cry on for those who have no one else.

( a consigliere might be even more effective! )

The same Delores that was in Seinfeld?!

I made the mistake of going to my wife’s personal psychotherapist for couples counseling. However, after three sessions, the therapist told us we were two people who should not be together (very unprofessional). So, we broke up … with the therapist. We were together until she died ten years later. (Please, no “automatic” condolences. It was a long time ago.)

It’s usually the other way around in my experience.
