The good news, is that they aren’t likely to have much traffic while she’s busy…

Well, that’s the theory … Murphy makes the rules here, too.

Way back in the day, when my parents drove us to Lake Erie for our vacations, they ALWAYS insisted that we visit the bathroom before we started any part of the trip…

Can’t you just turn back around or did you forget to ask before leaving, knowing that you had to get in a plane

From Lynn’s Comments: When driving through the prairies, make sure you use the bathroom when you gas up. There will be no “safe squatting spots” along the highways!

I remember driving home with my then husband and it was a long drive home and I had to go so bad. Good thing that there were bushes along the road. I would have never made it home. When you need to go, there is always an option.

Happened to me on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were traveling in May and did not realize that the facilities were not opened until Memorial Day. However, there were few other travelers and pull offs for scenic views that were shielded from the road. Phew!

Where’s Elizabeth? Looks like they forgot her and left her behind! Shades of National Lampoon’s Vacation.

Been there, done that…years ago when the kids were little, taking a trip from OR to ID, an all day journey, you get out in the desert with not a tree to mar the view and my son would need to go…

Yes, but you don’t want to touch anything in side of one, including the locking knob. I always have a packet of disinfectant wipes in my carry-on for when I have to use the plane restroom.

Sad, true story.Earlier this month, I drove round-trip from my home in SoCal to Sacramento – a 400 mile drive on California’s I-5. On the way there, four of the five rest stops were closed, and the fifth re-routed its freeway exit, so no one other than truckers knew they had to exit half a mile before the rest stop.

    Cal Trans, you suck!

Stuck in a Buffalo jam once in Yellowstone. Couple cars ahead a mother and son get out and run over to a stream and …. well judging by his stream he really did have to go.

But Dad, I’m prairie dogging! Next scene – fast moving car with a butt hanging out the window with a little girl screaming “I hate you!”

Best Jon Lovitz scene ever from “Rat Race” (a bad remake of It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World)

April can simply let it spout out of the top of her head. Her hairdo is the same shape as a piece of anatomy that John and Michael have.

Yup. Right after you hop in the car and start down the road. Never fails, even when you say “everyone go now, were going to be driving a while.” But frankly, I wish we had the little kids back. They were a hoot.
