It costs money to run a nation the way we want it to be. If the top 2% paid their fair share we’d be much better off. The wealthy know how to make money, that’s what they do. Back when they were at a 60% tax rate, or higher, all they did was go out and make more money to make up for the loss. That has an effect on our entire economy, all the way to the blue collar worker. Tax cuts only make the wealthy have no need to go out and make more, it’s done for them.

If only that were true. The rich get loopholes intended for economic stimulus but tend to evolve into “freebies”.
