A nose by any other name still smells

Well, it’s the right color for something coming out of a nose.

Only Wallace would think of hiding the emerald up his nose.

I knew a kid who jammed a bean up his nose. His family took him to the hospital to get it out.

That was probably how it got lost in the first place.

I’ll let someone else comment that this is not the worse place he could have put it.

For all you fans of tiny details, I’d like to point out the little dotted circle in Wallace’s palm indicating the absence of the emerald.

Well that just smashed any idea Amelia had of snitching it from Wallace.

Maybe it’s just me, but this arc is making me very tense wondering if they’re going to make it back to Wallace’s house without losing the emerald.

Wallace must be related to me. Decades ago, in a pizza parlor, my brother got our group thrown out. He and his friend took my bestie and me to a mall and we stopped for pizza for lunch. He would put a mushroom in his nose then make weird noises until all the patrons in the place were looking at him. He then proceeded to “blow” the mushroom out of his nose into his hand, look at it, then pop it in his mouth. It probably didn’t help that the 3 of us were laughing at him.

Wallace has tried out that antique book, “101 Magic Tricks for Boys.” This is the first time he has performed #89: Astonish Your Friends with the Vanishing Coin." Aced it!

I hope the Thrilling Conclusion will be revealed tomorrow. I’ll be away all next week and hope to end the suspense, even as I dread what’s coming.
