Interestingly, the lunar module aboard the Apollo 10 mission was called Snoopy ( the command module was Charlie Brown). However. the Snoopy module never actually landed on the moon.
I like to use famous phrases in my conversations. Back in the day when I still worked outside the home, I called my wife as I left work and told her, “Elvis has left the building.” So my nickname, with her, became “Elvis” and I also have phrases like “Elvis is going to bed.” or “Elvis is going to check the mail.” or she will order, “Elvis, take out the trash.”
When I arrive someplace without my wife, I use the phrase, “The Eagle has landed.”
That deserves a toast, but sorry, all I have is water. Here’s looking at you, doggie. May your love be complete, or until someone else tickles your fancy, yous fickle beast.

Years before this arc Lucy warned Snoopy, “These teenage marriages rarely work out.”

I remember seeing a Peanuts special where Snoopy was getting married. Things didn’t go to well for him.
