That’s actually a thing in the Eastern Orthodox Church: Forgiveness Sunday, just before Lent. Everybody asks everybody for forgiveness and receives it.

Well if you never do anything you can’t have done it wrong. Don’t care who you are.

    “National Forgiveness Day”

    1) Only one day?

    2) I ignore unknown strangers who try to tell me what to do with my days.

He had long hair and a beard.

He did not work for a corporation.

    He was undocumented.

He hung out with criminals, prostitutes and other unsundry characters.

He believed that we are all equal in the eyes of God.

He advocated giving away your personal belongings and paying your taxes.

    He advocated social justice.

He gave people hope instead of fear, advocated change instead of the status quo.

He preached peace instead of war

    He angered the conservatives

His philosophy was based in compassion, equality, inclusion, forgiveness, tolerance, peace and – most importantly-love.

What did Carmen do to offend Winslow? Oh right, she dared to have a differing opinion. Well I guess I need to be forgiven by bunch of… Better not use that language here.

Ok, so a few of you had some misgivings with my post yesterday. I’m concerned with what works to get us power to do what needs doing. Alienating people you’re trying to get to vote for you doesn’t work. Hillary’s “deplorables” referred to the Klan, Nazis, and white supremacists; not the people who hold their nose and vote for him. They believe “it can’t happen here” and his policies will favor them. Graciousness in victory is a good look for dems. Of course, if it does happen here, all bets are off…

To forgive, the other party needs to be sorry. I respect anyone who can own up to their mistakes and errors. Nobody is perfect, after all. I find that calm-speaking people on here are such people who will own up and apologize. So, if I never said it to you: I forgive you and I appreciate you!
