Sounds like a prank you’d play on someone. Order them the book and gaslight them into thinking they have a memory problem and forgot ordering it.
Copy the receipt and keep in an “orders” folder on the desktop. Move to received folder inside that folder when received and no problem to resolve. I order so much on line I couldn’t possibly keep up with it without this system.
I do crossword puzzles. It helps.

I tried ordering that same book from Amazon, but they keep sending me scifi and fantasy books instead. Go figure!
