How do you recognize a dad joke? When the punchline was “a parent”.

I fondly remember my Pink Floyd phase in the early eighties, lying on the rug next to my boyfriend in his room listening to their albums on the turntable. During the total eclipse in the spring, I cued up “Dark Side of the Moon”. It was transcendental to listen to “Eclipse” as the diamond ring effect emerged!

This is an example of waning humor. That joke really cratered!
