Heard on the radio this morning … this dude who lives on the coast was talking about how prolific the hummingbirds are this year. He then mentioned how they fly up to hover in front of his face after using his feeders as if to thank him. But then he said “Can you imagine how terrifying that would be if they were the size of crows?” …!

I made a screen shot of today’s “Day.” I was going to draw myself being lazy into the empty frame, but I was too lazy to draw anything. Then I remembered back in the days when I worked as an elementary school reading specialist, I had done a project with my 2nd-6th graders for “Right to Read Week” using Dr. Seuss’s My Many Colored Days book. We all wrote about what color day we would chose and drew a picture to illustrate. I drew myself sitting on a bench under a tree drinking iced tea from my insulated mug, which was pink. Of all my projects, that was my favorite. I cloned that drawing into your empty frame. By the time I was finished with that, it was too late to mow the yard this evening. Darn! Thanks, Dave!
