I guess he’s not paper trained.

Of course lot of us read newspapers online these days. But hitting him with a computer would be more painful.

I’m gonna say Garfield has the paper route in THAT neighborhood.

That paperboy is extremely accurate but nasty.

On September 4, 1833, the first American newspaper boy was hired. It’s a shame that most seem to be mailed now, a good way for kids to earn money and get some exercise is mostly gone now.

Who knew Odie was such a good newspaper catcher?

Gotta admit, that’s one thing digital can’t do.

My aim was never that good :) old paperboy here from the 60s until my HS days in the 70s.

Maybe after being clobbered by a newspaper, his story will make it in the newspaper. Who says newspaper have no impact?

Now is the time to seize the day!

Waaaay back in the day, I had a paper route. I would fold the paper so it could be thrown easily. Also back in the day the screen doors were made of aluminum. I would start my route about 5:30a so I could be done and still make it to an 8am first class in school. All of this meant I was going down the blocks throwing papers at aluminum screen doors early in the morning, "Bam, Bam, Bam. Wake Up!!

And swatting flies with my phone can be really expensive

Evidence of times past with this comic strip today isn’t it. Of course, on my laptop, pad, or phone its really not that much different everyday, at least for me ! ;-)

Personally, I would like to whap that back to the newspaper person! To see how he or she would like it.

The Indianapolis Star, that costs $2.50 week days, is so thin that Odie wouldn’t have noticed it hitting him.

I used to subscribe to the “hard copy” of my local big city paper, but they recently ended contracted (morning end of driveway) delivery and switched to the USPS in my local area. I changed to digital only. Before the change in delivery method, there were changes like reduction in sections and fewer and fewer Sunday ads.

Garfield is a meanie, but a cute one.
