Many years ago, Jack Benny was in Scotland (or Ireland?) with his notoriously hard-drinking bandleader Phil Harris. It was night and they could see the fires of the distilleries around town. Benny said “they’re making it faster than you can drink it!” and Harris said, “yeah, but I got them working nights now!”
