Australia just joined about 20 other countries in enacting “right to disconnect” law. The U.S. needs to do his too.

Today is much better. You can ignore anything. But when your car breaks down you don’t have to go searching for a pay phone. That alone is worth it.
Removing the phone off the hook was also a tremendous effort.
On the iPhone now you could probably just customize a Focus to do most of those things.
