Combine it with Calvinball. There supposedly was a Calvinball game involving hitting badminton birdies against trees using a croquet mallet.

Should have kept in the closet for a few more years.

There’s a “Happy Gilmore” sequel in the works. This kid could have a small role, or least be an extra.

In croquet it is good Hammie added some excitement to that game. It is even more boring than baseball or golf or fishing.

Off to a rough start already.

Rule #1: Anyone who does that has to wear pink for a week.

Rule #0: No one (especially Hammie) is to select a ball and mallet until all the other rules, including such house rules as “Don’t whack the ball over the house,” have been read, understood and acknowledged by every player (especially Hammie). Make it clear that penalties will be enforced.

That’s a heck of drive to pull off with a heavy croquet ball and mallet.

If that ball had connected, Darryl would either have a broken nose or a concussion. At what age do kids start looking ahead to see the potential consequences of their actions?

Does the kid know the concept of consequences for his actions? No dad=loss and pain?

You had to know he was going to try that…kids are kids!!!

I know I’ve played croquet at least twice but I couldn’t tell you the rules to save my life.
