Gene wrote a feature story (The Hardy Boys and the Final Chapter, 1998) about Leslie Macfarlane, the original Franklin W. Dixon, and creator of The Hardy Boys.

This strip made me look up Franklin W Dixon. Hate when comics make me learn things!

The Innocents Abroad is a masterpiece, should be required reading in high school – but also read every Hardy Boys mystery as a kid too…it wasn’t Christmas unless i got 2 or 3 of their books

When I was a very little boy, I cut my reading teeth on Dr. Seuss. Now I’m 65, and he’s still up there among my favorites.
