No anesthetic?

Seal the deal.

Lots of changes in all kinds of med work, including dentistry. Needed a tooth capped. The new dentist in the office prepped the area, took all kinds of photos with new type camera, fed the data into a 3-d printer. An hour or so later, new cap in place and no trouble since. Previously, old style camera, mold of the tooth sent to lab, and two weeks later cap arrives. Difference in both time and in the work needed to place the new cap. Old style took a good half hour of seating, testing fit, a bit of shaping, more testing, etc. New method, fit almost perfect in first trial. About 5 minutes for shaping and letting the fixative set.

Next thing you know, they’ll be using that method to replace broken bones and other ‘solid’ parts of the body . . . if they aren’t already. Wonder if it would work for spinal problems, knees . . .?

Gripe time (move on to the next comment): I like Frank’s dentist. My good dentist retired; when I needed work, she did it. My new new on is horrible – take images, refer to a specialist for more images, looks like it needs to be extracted so go to the oral surgeon for a consult, then finally go for the extraction. NO! I want Franks dentist – Yank, thank, bank.

come back in two weeks so I can check the results and bill again.

Some say dentists have it better than doctors these days. Most of us have to pay them out of pocket and they charge whatever they can get away with.
