With a rag in her mouth and a bullet in her head

Blanche must be biting her faux nails…

You can tell in the final panel that Verne is not amused by this at all.

Unfortunatley, I knew people like that in the 70s. One of them was killed hitchhiking … with a stranger.

Still creepy…
