I’d be more concerned about the ticks.

Pretty harmless for lions and tigers.

Love the artwork of the field—and Brian’s play on the words lions, tigers and bears! Looking forward to the next few days of this story line!

It’s early…it took me a moment to get this…but get it I did! LOL

Rover’s ‘gulp’ is so poignant! I see a continuation of this adventure! The artwork is lovely, by the way!

I hate to be picky, but I don’t see any blackberry vines.

If there’s poison Ivy in there Red will be sorry he didn’t listen to his mother!

Where I live there are invasive blackberries everywhere and they are all loaded down with fruit this time of year. I regularly stroll out to the front yard for a handful to make blackberry pancakes in the morning, and ditto after work to toss a few in my lemon sparkling water. The plants are quite evil things with sharp thorns and they grow unbelievably fast. But boy are those berries tasty!

It’s those poppies you have to watch out for.

Don’t forget to sample the blackberries. If it were not for the fruit, that plant would be a week.

I don’t know about where Red lives, but chances are in East Tennessee that there will be a Rattlesnake or Copperhead hanging around in the Blackberry patch. Long pants and boots are a must. Especially in overgrown areas. Pick at your own risk.

Oh, to be young and exploring again! I know you can explore at any age, and it’s still fun, but it’s not quite the same feeling of discovery.

I guess they’re off to see the wizard.
