You know; once I had an exchange like that in a Fast Food Restaurant….with a human cashier who just did not know how to take an order that was not part of a combo. I wonder if they got this individual to train A.I. servers….. makes you wonder.
Did you intentionally make the AI “server” look like the mouth parts of a hookworm (or a urinal), or is that just a coincidence? At any rate, I would seriously NOT be willing to get close to that thing.
It looks like something out of a fever dream or a 1950s low budget sci-fi film about green aliens invading Earth. They usually were, it’s not until close to the 1970s that sci-fi gets more sophisticated.
Here is a quote from an article in the LOS ANGELES TIMES about CaliExpress, the first robot cook/waiter restaurant: "I was eager to visit CaliExpress, the new roboticized Pasadena restaurant, to learn what the future of fast food looked (and tasted) like. Outside there were slogans befitting a traveling circus: “AI FRYING ROBOT MARVEL!” My curiosity piqued, I entered, passing by a facial recognition scanner advertising the ominous-sounding opportunity to “pay with your face.”

I can’t post a link to the advertisement for server robots that inspired this series, but the dialogue and misinterpretation is very close to reality.

I like my ice liquids with ice.

Don’t worry about the water, the robot can’t do anything to it.

This arc makes no sense to me. Only me and the cats in the house. Don’t even have TV. And my stereo is from 1990.
