I remember once in my childhood mall seeing a book signing and absolutely nobody was there in interest. Twice since then I’ve noticed under advertising of events that led to the lack of turnout.

Good to know Ziggy is not looking out of place here.

I remember an old song about signs by the Five Man Electrical Band, that went something like this; “And the sign said, Long-haired freaky people NEED NOT apply!”

Just to confirm, Ziggy doesn’t look freaky – or long-haired here, so he’ll fit right in.

“Hey, handsome. What’s your sign?” “Meet the author.”

I guess that is how he is reaching for his Warholian 15 minutes of fame.

My grandson was a big fan of Stephan Pastis. I went to one of his book signings to buy a couple of books as a Christmas gift. It was a cool and rainy evening and I expected the bookstore would be empty. There were around 100 fans waiting for him to read from his current book and to have copies signed.
