I’ve already read several classics today. Frazz, The Argyle Sweater, Brewster Rockit, etc …

More than 20 years ago, I told a friend she should read Hiaasen’s “Sick Puppy.” She was upset with me at first, asking me why I told her she should read this awful book (she is very much an animal lover). I told her to keep reading. She did … and absolutely loved how it developed.

I figured I owed her a good read as she had got me to read John Dunning’s “The Bookman’s Wake.”

So Caulfield didn’t read “Team Rodent”?

(Non-fiction, about how Disney has been disastrous for Florida. Considering the Disney-DeSantis feud, I wonder Hiaasen has since reevaluated. “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” and all that.)

Never read (or even heard of) Hiaasen, but by strange coincidence, I started watching Bad Monkey recently. Now I need to deep dive on this author.

Hiassen is a genius. Vince Vaughan is great in “Bad Monkey”, currently streaming on AppleTV.

I understand. I’ve been a huge Carl Hiaasen fan for decades!
