Funny thing…here the Trumpers are banning library books for being offensive.
I think it is funny because in the 70s, the best way to get teens to read boring, poorly-written prose was to tell them they couldn’t read it because it was naughty.
Nowadays kids have easy access to all manner of explicit stuff online, so they don’t seem to care about what is or is not available at the library. I can’t get them to look for library books for research…if it isn’t online, it doesn’t exist.
But old Mike isn’t a conservative any more than Trump is…clearly just another spineless Vichy Republican who has chosen to be a collaborator rather than risk joining the resistance. If history remembers him at all, that’s how he will be remembered.
