For people lying dead still on the ground – just be glad that it wasn’t a vulture! Or a group of flying vultures, which is a fine ‘kettle’ of vultures!

Pelicans do that while flying in squadron formation.

I’d like to take this opportunity to recommend my favorite early Robert Altman film: “Brewster McCloud.”

It’s Shelly Duvall’s first film, and it’s really kind of wonderful. (Those who have seen it know why I’m mentioning it with this strip.)

When I was a Busch Gardens in Florida this happened to me, some big bird got me on my right shoulder and man did it stink, just threw the jacket away and purchased another one at Epcot.

Correct……

Imagine the different myth if Newton was on the beach instead of under an apple tree.

Having had a similar experience, it’s not one I would recommend

Gertrude and Heathcliff are flying along when Heathcliff suddenly exclaims,

“Look at all those stupid people down there.”

“Stupid, what makes you think those people are stupid?’ Gertrude asks.

“Well because, they’re all looking up ain’t they?”

Albatross is also known as the Gooney Bird. That was the nickname aviators called the Douglas C-47 that was the workhorse aircraft during WWII. Didn’t know it was a bomber, too. ;-p

The precipitation from that cloud reminds me of Dr. Seuss’s precipitation “Oo – Bleck!”

With excellent aim.
